Een bekentenis: ik heb een kast vol kleren en de kledingstukken die ik het meeste draag zijn mijn pyjamabroeken. Als ik thuis kom is het eerste wat ik doe een pyjamabroek aantrekken. Zelfs als ik later de deur nog uit moet (al doe ik ‘m dan natuurlijk wel weer uit 🙂 ).
A confession: I have a closet full of clothes and the things I wear most are my pyjama pants. Whenever I get home, the first thing I do is put on my pyjama pants. Even if I have to get out of the house again later (ofcourse then I put on something else again 🙂 ).
Deze stof kocht ik op Marktplaats. Er stond alleen bij dat het katoen was. Ik was dus een beetje verrast toen bleek dat het flanel was! Eerst wist ik niet zo goed wat ik ermee moest maken. Het is een heel soepel stofje. Maar opeens wist ik het: een jurk, die voelt als een pyjama, maar er niet zo uitziet! Een buiten-pyjama dus eigenlijk.
I bought this fabric on Marktplaats. The ad said that it was cotton. I was surprised that it turned out to be flannel! At first I didn’t know what to make with is, as it has a lot of drape. But suddenly I knew: a dress that feels like a pyjama, but doesn’t look like it! Like an outsite-pyjama.
Voor het bovenlijf gebruikte ik het patroon van Ottobre’s Old School Teacher, die ik al eerder maakte. De mouwen maakte ik iets breder zodat ze deze keer wel pasten en de rok verwisselde ik voor een gerimpeld exemplaar, met behulp van het patroon van dit rokje. Uiteindelijk knipte ik een rechthoekig stuk op de stofvouw, en gebruikte ik de zelfkanten als achternaad. Daarnaast maakte ik de v-hals iets lager, een centimeter of 2.
For the bodice I used Ottobre’s Old School Teacher, which I made before. I widened the sleeves so they would fit this time and changed the skirt for a gathered rectangle, using the pattern of this skirt. I cut the rectangle on the fold and used the selvedges to make a center back seam. I also lowered the v-neck by around 2 centimeters.
Wat mij betreft precies de goede hoogte.

De taillenaad is een beetje scheef bij de rits, maar door de drukke print valt dat gelukkig niet zo op.
The waist seam is a bit off at the zipper, but the busy print is very good in hiding that.
Hij zit erg lekker 🙂 Omdat de stof een klein beetje rekt knelt het nergens, ideaal!

Bijkomend voordeel: hij past erg goed bij mijn nieuwe schoenen.
