jaquard tricot

In mijn stoffenvoorraad heb ik nog een stukje nepleer liggen. Ik stel me zo voor dat een Aldaia jurk van zwarte punto di Roma, met een kwart cirkel rok en een middenvoor stuk van dat nepleer heel gaaf is. Maar voordat ik in mijn geliefde nepleer (cq. plastic :)) ga knippen wilde ik eerst nog even kijken of het patroon goed past. De wikkelversie was prima, maar die is toch wat vergevender qua pasvorm. Ik had nog een stuk jaquard tricot liggen waar ik nog geen bestemming voor had, en deze versie van de Aldaia jurk was geboren.

In my stash is a piece of really nice pleather. I imagine a black ponte Aldaia dress with a quarter circle skirt and the center front panel from that pleather. But before I cut into it I wanted to test the fit of the bodice. I made the wrap version and it was good, but the wrap is a bit more forgiving in fit. I had some jaquard knit laying around and so this Aldaia dress was born.

Met deze (onder andere) rood-geel-zwarte jurk kan ik mooi de Duitse of de Belgische mannen aanmoedigen bij het WK volgend jaar, want het NL mannenelftal heeft het mooi verprutst. Van Oranjekoorts naar Mannengriep 🙂

With this (among others) red-yellow-black dress I can support the German or Belgian gents during the World Championship soccer next year, because the Dutch men really messed up. From Orange fever to man flu 🙂

De jurk zit prima. Ik denk dat ik voor de versie met het nepleer wel wat extra naad bij de prinsessennaad in het voorpand aanknip, voor de zekerheid. Het nepleer heeft wel een beetje stretch maar natuurlijk niet zoveel als tricot. Ook ga ik twee centimeter lengte aan het voorpand toevoegen ter hoogte van de buste. Voor de rest is het goed zoals het is.

The fit is fine. I think that for the version with the pleather I’ll cut a bit extra seam allowance at the front princess seam. The pleather has some stretch but not as much as this jersey. I’ll also add about two centimetres of length to the front bodice. Other than that, it’s good.
