Zo! Dat is een tijdje geleden, dat ik blogde. Na de vakantie was het steeds zulk mooi weer dat ik geen zin had om achter de naaimachine te gaan zitten, en ik had ook even geen inspiratie. Het enige dat ik maakte was een spijkerrokje, van hetzelfde patroon als dit en dit rokje. Niet heel bijzonder, maar wel met veel dingen te combineren, en het zit heel strak in elkaar al zeg ik het zelf.

So it’s been a while since I blogged! After the holidays the weather became so nice and I didn’t feel like sitting behind my sewingmachine, and I also didn’t have too much inspiration. The only thing I’ve made is a denim skirt, the same pattern as this one and this one. Nothing too special about that, but it goes with a lot of my shirts and it’s pretty well-made if I say so myself.

Dat was in de week dat we terugkwamen van vakantie, daarna had ik steeds niet zo veel zin om te naaien. Maar vandaag kreeg ik opeens de kriebels 🙂 Ik bedacht me ook dat ik mijn stofkeuze voor de Macaron jurk van de Colette 2.0 Sew Along nog helemaal niet met jullie heb gedeeld! Dus bij deze….. *tromgeroffel*….

That was in the week we returned from our holidays, and after that I wasn’t in the mood for sewing. But today I suddenly got the urge to make something 🙂 And I realised that I hadn’t shared my fabric choice for the Colette 2.0 Sew Along Macaron with you guys! So here it is…. *drumrolls*….

Dat wordt ‘m dus! Vandaag heb ik alle patroondelen geknipt, en dat vond ik wel weer even genoeg.  Rustig aan beginnen, want na een poosje overspannen thuis te hebben gezeten ben ik heel rustig aan weer begonnen met werken. Goed luisteren naar mijn lijf en merken wanneer ik behoefte heb aan rust is daarbij heel belangrijk. Dat heb ik nu dus maar gedaan 🙂

So this will be it!  I cut all the pattern pieces, and that was enough for today. Starting slowly, because I have been home from work for a while because I was too stressed out to work, and I have recently started working again for a few hours a week. Listening to my body and realising when I’m tired and I need to rest is really imporant. And so I did 🙂 

Zo komt het er ongeveer uit te zien. Ik ben erg blij met de combinatie van stoffen. De vorige Macaron paste meteen goed, dus daar verander ik niks aan. Het enige wat ik heb aanpast is de mouwen, daar heb ik 3/4 mouwen van gemaakt. Het is de bedoeling dat het een jurkje wordt voor de herfst/winter, dus dat is handiger dan korte mouwen. Ik ben benieuwd hoe het uiteindelijke resultaat wordt!

This is what it will look like. I’m really happy with the combination. My last Macaron fits good so no need for alterations. The only thing Ive changed is the sleeve length, to 3/4 sleeves. This will be a dress for fall/winter, so that’s more temperature appropriate. I’m looking forward to finishing it to see the final result!
