Anne van Pretty Grievances kwam half december op de proppen met Jungle Januari: naai in januari een kledingstuk van dierenprint. Nu heb ik nog een stukje panterprint liggen, mooi stofje maar dierenprint is een beetje uit mijn comfort zone en dus bleef ‘ie steeds maar in de kast. Dit leek mij een mooie stok achter de deur voor een panterprint ontgroening 🙂
Anne of Pretty Grievances introduced the idea of Jungle Januari: sew something using an animal print in januari. There is a piece of panther ptinr fabric hiding in my closet. Animal print is a bit out of my comfort zone so it has been waiting there for a long time. This is a great opportunity to put it to some good use 🙂
Maar nu dan de hamvraag: wat zal ik er van maken? Ik twijfel tussen 4 dingen.
The question is, what to make with it? I’m deliberating 4 options.

Oh leuk, ik ben gek op panterprint. Ik zou voor optie 2 gaan en als je stof over hebt nummer 4 er bij maken. Dat lijkt me een leuk setje, maar is misschien wat te veel van het goede.
ik heb maar een meter, dus die jasjes wordt al echt passen en meten.. een setje gaat dus niet lukken, vind ik ook niet zo erg haha, zou inderdaad wel wat te veel zijn 🙂
Ik herken je dilemma. 😉 Zelf zou ik voor de rok (nr. 2.) kiezen. Met een mooie (zwarte) blazer en top staat het volgens mij heel chic. Mijn tweede keus is nummer 4. Het korte model jasje is denk ik niet te overheersend in een dierenprint. Succes bij het maken van je keuze!

If its got some drape I’d make no3 – if it’s former No.4. Animal print is out of my comfort zone too but I’m really pleased with my top. I finished it today!
it’s quite stiff… I had a burdastyle Marie skirt in mind first, but I’m affraid it would be an enormous tulip 🙂 Can’t wait to see your top!
Go the pencil skirt!!
I started the Franzi 🙂 the more people told be to make the skirt, the more I wanted to make the Franzi haha

I love the idea of a Jenny skirt with this– I just made an animal-print pencil skirt and it feels so sexy and fun!

I’d go for #2 or 4, depending on what you have to pair with it to make an outfit.
I don’t know what to pair it with 🙂 I’m now thinking of making a Franz waistcoat and then make a black circle skirt to go with it.
I wouldn’t make the top (#3) if its not drapey, as commented above, but whatever you do decide on I can’t wait to see what you come up with :o)
